It all started quite peacefully with the Shetland pony Mäxchen, when I was five years old. On my sixth birthday, I got a carriage and I used it to whizz around the neighborhood.
I competed in my first shows at the age of twelve, won my first junior jumping competition at the age of fourteen and rode my first high jumping competition two years later.
After graduating from high school in 2002, riding became my main focus. For two years I worked at the Wäldershausen Stables under Lars Nieberg. Afterwards I did an apprenticeship as an event manager at EN GARDE Marketing GmbH and completed a degree in business administration at the school of applied science in Bremerhaven.
However, the call of horses and jumping sport did not let me go and in 2010 I got the chance to sign on as a rider at Paul Schockemöhle's stable. Afterwards, I rode for the stable of Holger Hetzel and the stable of Hans Horn in the Netherlands.
All these stations enabled me to gain valuable experience: in training international show jumpers and aspiring show jumpers. It was exactly where I learned to recognize which rider fits which horse. The "Perfect Match" for harmony and success in show jumping.
